The Clearing opened for her

THE CLEARING OPENED FOR HER

When at last her eyes adjusted to the clarity,
she could see in front of her a pyramid
with a form on it that she could not distinguish.
As she was approaching she saw that figure.

And then she saw that the figure
was wearing a cloak
and a hood that showed some eyes,
it seemed all of stone.
Those petrified eyes more than fear
caused her intrigue,
so she slowly was moving
closer to it.

She was slowly
approaching
without taking her gaze
from those eyes,
she reached the foot
of that door and
stood still watching them.

When at last her eyes adjusted to the clarity,
she could see in front of her a pyramid
with a form on it that she could not distinguish.
As she was approaching she saw that figure.

The floor was felt soft,
full of leaves;
she had forgotten the pain
in her tired feet.
Those petrified eyes more than fear
caused her intrigue,
so she slowly was moving
closer to it.

That Gargoyle
seemed to look at her
from above like
to devour her,
despite that
she tried to see
its face beneath those shadows.

When at last her eyes adjusted to the clarity,
she could see in front of her a pyramid
with a form on it that she could not distinguish.
As she was approaching she saw that figure.

lleno de hojas;
